The office of KHALIF ISAAC LEE Advocates & Solicitors (also known as "KIL") is nestled within the enclave of an international business hub at Menara Suezcap (KL Gateway), Bangsar South, since February 2022. Approved by the Bar Council in January 2022, KIL carries a legacy dating back to its predecessors, Vin & Isaac Lee (2013) and Messrs Wong (2011).
Central to the firm's establishment is Isaac Lee, whose practice has grown steadily since 2011. The other cornerstone of KIL is Jeremy Khalif Lee, who brings a wealth of expertise in litigation, handling numerous reported cases across the High Court, Court of Appeal, and Federal Court.
Together, with over 17 years of individual legal practice, the teams at KIL provide a broad spectrum of legal services. Their shared philosophy ensures professionalism, integrity, and client-focused solutions tailored to each client’s unique needs.
LLB (Hons) London, CLP
Jeremy is a partner of the Firm.
Jeremy obtained his Law degree in 2003. He then read for the CLP. At
the same time, Jeremy worked as a law lecturer and tutor in Advance Tertiary College,
Kuala Lumpur and was a guest lecturer at Lingnan University, Hong Kong and
Intech Training Centre, Singapore.
Jeremy obtained his CLP in 2004. Jeremy then undertook pupillage and
became a lawyer in 2005. From then until 2018, he did both solicitor and advocacy
work in Court, independently as well as in collaboration with other lawyers. He
was also an independent consultant for the e-Kehakiman System Phase 2 project.
In 2018, Jeremy ceased practice to become a corporate affairs and
investment strategy consultant for 2 public listed companies. In 2021, at the
insistence of his long-time friend and now partner, Mr Isaac Lee Seng Eng,
Jeremy resumed practice as a lawyer.
Jeremy’s work now mainly revolves around advising on litigation and
corporate strategy and doing advocacy work in Court. He works very closely with
an excellent solicitor, Ms Olivia Lee Yee Teng, who is a partner of the Firm.
LLB (Hons) Birmingham, CLP
Isaac Lee is currently the Managing Partner of the Firm. He has obtained his LLB (Hons) from the University of Birmingham in 2003 and Certificate of Legal Practice in 2004. He was admitted as an Advocates & Solicitors in the High Court of Malaya on 16th September 2005. Upon admission to the Bar, Isaac was retained by one of the Malaysia long-standing and wellestablished law firm, Messrs Shook Lin & Bok. Thereat, his practice was diversified into 2 distinct areas of practice namely: Banking Litigation, and Intellectual Property (“IP”) and Information and Communication Technology (“ICT”). In 2011, he joined Messrs Wong as a partner to start up a branch office in Empire Subang. Since 2011, he has been involved in real estate property and financing and corporate law. In 2013, Kelvin Ng Chun Yee and him took over the office in Empire Subang and continue practice under the name and style of VIN & ISAAC LEE. In 2011, Isaac heads the Real Estate Property division in Messrs Wong. In 2013, he continues to head the Real Estate Property division in Vin & Isaac Lee. He handles sales and purchase transactions for residential, industrial and commercial properties. In connection thereof, he also handles property financing documentation work for numerous local and foreign banks He has handle private client transaction as well as multi-million real estate property transaction for companies, one of which was a involves an approximate value of Ringgit Malaysia 60 million. He also handles complicated property transactions and in more a few occasion had assisted client to commence court proceedings against the Registrar of Titles for Federal Territory of Kuala Lumpur (KL Land Office) in which he had obtained judgement against in favour of his client. He has also been providing consultation and advisory work from the very early infant stage to property developers for a commercial project and a residential condominium project. Commencing from January 2015, Isaac has been appointed on a non-full time basis as Chief Legal Officer for a developer to oversee the legal department in respect of a new development on SOHO and commercial building project known as LD LEGENDA with the gross development value of RM 300 million. The Edge (May 2-8th 2016 publication) reported on this project which includes reporting him representing the developer to negotiate with Tianjin Engineering & Construction Corporation (TECC), a China state-owned company on formation of a joint venture company in Malaysia in 2015. He and his team has more than 12 years’ experience in handling loan documentations and had advised numerous financier and banks on loan release in hundreds of loan releases including acting for Public Bank Berhad, CIMB Bank Berhad, UOB Bank (M) Berhad, Standard Chartered Bank Berhad, RHB Bank Berhad and Hong Leong Bank Berhad. Therefore, he and his teams are able and capable in handling bank/financier’s loan documentation and release of loan.
LLB (Hons) IIUM
Syazwani read in the chambers of Mr. B. Balakumar
at Messrs. Azim Tunku Farik & Wong. Following her admission as an Advocate
& Solicitor of the High Court of Malaya on 15 July 2011, she was retained
by the firm, where she practiced until April 2012. She then joined Messrs.
Scivetti & Associates, where she gained extensive experience in criminal
litigation and advisory work, remaining with the firm until January 2023.
She later assumed a legal role at Petronas before
joining Messrs. T.S. Hariharan & Partners. In August 2024, she became part
of Khalif Isaac Lee. Her practice covers a wide range of criminal matters,
including financial crimes, corruption, abuse of power, criminal breach of
trust, money laundering, extradition, organized crime, security offenses, and
preventive detention. She also advises corporate entities on compliance
strategies and the management of potential criminal liabilities.

Olivia Lee was admitted as an
Advocate and Solicitor of the High Court of Malaya in 2015. She brings to the
firm a wealth of experience across both private practice and in-house roles,
with a focus on litigation, corporate advisory, and legal compliance.
Prior to joining the firm in May
2023, Olivia served as Legal Counsel at one public listed company and later as Legal
and Compliance Officer at another, where she advised on a wide range of
corporate, commercial, and regulatory matters. She was responsible for
providing strategic legal guidance to Boards of Directors and senior
management, drafting and reviewing contracts, managing corporate exercises, and
overseeing litigation in coordination with external solicitors and regulatory
bodies.
Earlier in her career, Olivia
built a solid foundation in dispute resolution through her work in legal
practice. She has represented clients across all stages of litigation,
including trial and appellate proceedings.
Olivia is fluent in English,
Bahasa Malaysia, Mandarin, and Cantonese, which allows her to communicate
effectively with a diverse range of clients.
LLB (Hons) Liverpool, CLP
Kenny is a graduate of University of South Australia with Bachelor of Management (Marketing). He further his studies in University of Liverpool, UK with an LLB (Hons) degree in 2015. Having completed his Certificate of Legal Practice in year 2016, he was admitted as an Advocate and Solicitor of the High Court of Malaya in 2017 after completing his pupillage under the tutelage at Messrs Daljeet S Sachdev & Co. Upon his admission to the Malaysian Bar, he began his practice in Messrs. Daljeet S Sachdev & Co as an Associate. Thereafter, he embarked his legal career as a Partner with Messrs Daljeet S Sachdev & Co. He then joined Messrs. W. M. Ang & Co. as a Partner in 2022. Subsequently, he was admitted as a Partner in Messrs. Khalif Isaac Lee in August 2023. He is primarily involved in litigation matters including insurance related matters, tortious matters, medico-legal issues, family matters, debt recovery and conveyancing.

Terrence is a graduate of the University of Liverpool, UK with an LLB (Hons) degree in 2015. He was admitted as an Advocate and Solicitor of the High Court of Malaya in 2017 after completing his pupillage under the tutelage of Datuk Ringo Low. Upon his admission to the Malaysian Bar, he began his practice at Messrs. Ringo Low & Associates as an Associate. Thereafter, he joined Messrs. Vin & Isaac Lee in 2020 as an Associate and was promoted to a Senior Legal Associate in 2021. He then joined Messrs. W. M. Ang & Co. as a Partner in 2022. Subsequently, he was then admitted as a Partner in Messrs. Khalif Isaac Lee in August 2023. He is primarily involved in dispute resolution and litigation comprising of contractual, tortious, commercial, construction, land and tenancy disputes, employment and labour related disputes, construction adjudication under the Construction and Industry Payment and Adjudication Act 2012, arbitration, debt recovery, strata management disputes, insolvency, banking and finance, defamation, debt recovery, insolvency and administrative law. Terrence is known for his commitment to his clients and his ability to provide effective solutions. He is accommodating and determined in his approach, ensuring that clients receive the best possible legal advice and representation.
